My team is moving from Jira Server to Cloud, and not having behaviours is going to break a lot of our Jira automation. We use behaviours and rest scripts to retrieve external data from a data store based on what values a user chooses in custom fields during issue creation.

Being able to dynamically make calls to external data sources during issue creation is an amazing feature of behaviours, and I absolutely would love to see this functionality come to Jira Cloud.

Hi,
I’m working on Jira Cloud and want to realize the following operations:

  • hide customfield according to the state of the work flow
  • hide customfield according to the value of another customfield
  • make customfield readonly, according to Workflow State

I have read the blog post. When will this be available for custom fields?

Behavior currently does not work with subtasks. I hope that this will also be implemented.

Hi @Alexa.livezey , Custom field support is coming! In the next couple weeks you’ll be able to use behaviours on custom single select dropdown fields - and more field types to come. I’ve opened a new suggestion specifically for this request here https://scriptrunner-for-jira-cloud.nolt.io/99 Your votes and detailed use cases help us get these prioritised - Thank you!

@Yury Alehin , we have added support for sub-task issue types to our wish list and will continue to work with Atlassian to prioritise these requests (it needs to be supported on the UI Modifications API for us to build on). I’ve opened a new suggestion specifically for this request here https://scriptrunner-for-jira-cloud.nolt.io/103 Your votes and detailed use cases help us get these prioritised - Thank you!
