As a user,
I want to set rules on issue fields that changes how they behave when used,
So that I can implement my preferred processes
My team is moving from Jira Server to Cloud, and not having behaviours is going to break a lot of our Jira automation. We use behaviours and rest scripts to retrieve external data from a data store based on what values a user chooses in custom fields during issue creation.
Being able to dynamically make calls to external data sources during issue creation is an amazing feature of behaviours, and I absolutely would love to see this functionality come to Jira Cloud.
Hi Team,
Kindly consider to implementing Behaviour concept in Jira cloud, really it helping us to showing dynamic data, forms and custom field.
Hi,
We are in the process of moving from Server to Cloud and require this in order to accomodate our more complex forms and request. Please push for this change for it is greatly affecting our progress in delivering our projects.
Hi,
I’m working on Jira Cloud and want to realize the following operations:
Yes, we’re there! The wait is over: Behaviours for ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud has been released this morning. You can install the feature now from the marketplace here.
Why is it a separate app? How to install it? What can be done with Behaviours? What’s coming next?
We are answering all those questions and more in the Behaviours announcement blog post here. Check it now to learn what behaviours you can set up and how to create them.
We hope you are as excited about this as we are! With this first release of Behaviours we have set up the foundation for future iterations. We’re already working on adding new capabilities to this feature, including support for custom fields.
Thank you for your patience and for all the feedback you have shared with us.
I have read the blog post. When will this be available for custom fields?
Behavior currently does not work with subtasks. I hope that this will also be implemented.
Hi @Alexa.livezey , Custom field support is coming! In the next couple weeks you’ll be able to use behaviours on custom single select dropdown fields - and more field types to come. I’ve opened a new suggestion specifically for this request here https://scriptrunner-for-jira-cloud.nolt.io/99 Your votes and detailed use cases help us get these prioritised - Thank you!
@Yury Alehin , we have added support for sub-task issue types to our wish list and will continue to work with Atlassian to prioritise these requests (it needs to be supported on the UI Modifications API for us to build on). I’ve opened a new suggestion specifically for this request here https://scriptrunner-for-jira-cloud.nolt.io/103 Your votes and detailed use cases help us get these prioritised - Thank you!
Hi @Francisco Gomez, We know custom field support is needed and it’s our current focus. Feel free to add any specific requests here https://scriptrunner-for-jira-cloud.nolt.io/99. Thanks!
The first release of Behaviours was released in November so we have closed out this suggestion. We will continue to support adding many more capabilities to the Behaviours feauture so you and your teams can use them to effectively solve your business needs.
We’ve listed the feature suggestions separately to understand your specific needs better. If you don’t see something you need, please create a new suggestion. Thank you!
