My team is moving from Jira Server to Cloud, and not having behaviours is going to break a lot of our Jira automation. We use behaviours and rest scripts to retrieve external data from a data store based on what values a user chooses in custom fields during issue creation.

Being able to dynamically make calls to external data sources during issue creation is an amazing feature of behaviours, and I absolutely would love to see this functionality come to Jira Cloud.

Hi,
I’m working on Jira Cloud and want to realize the following operations:

  • hide customfield according to the state of the work flow
  • hide customfield according to the value of another customfield
  • make customfield readonly, according to Workflow State

Do we have any update on this topic? We are in the process of migrating to the Cloud env. Behavior component is critical to our on-prem (data center) env.

Hi everyone,

The wait is almost over for the initial release of Behaviours on Cloud. Within the next few weeks, the first version of Behaviours will become available, setting the foundation stone upon which we will continue to build more capabilities.

Find out what’s coming in the first release of Behaviours, click the link below and read about it in this new blog post that we have just published on our website. Fill in the form at the bottom of the page to be notified about future releases and updates on Behaviours.

Yes, we’re there! The wait is over: Behaviours for ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud has been released this morning. You can install the feature now from the marketplace here.

Why is it a separate app? How to install it? What can be done with Behaviours? What’s coming next?

We are answering all those questions and more in the Behaviours announcement blog post here. Check it now to learn what behaviours you can set up and how to create them.

We hope you are as excited about this as we are! With this first release of Behaviours we have set up the foundation for future iterations. We’re already working on adding new capabilities to this feature, including support for custom fields.

Thank you for your patience and for all the feedback you have shared with us.
