My team is moving from Jira Server to Cloud, and not having behaviours is going to break a lot of our Jira automation. We use behaviours and rest scripts to retrieve external data from a data store based on what values a user chooses in custom fields during issue creation.

Being able to dynamically make calls to external data sources during issue creation is an amazing feature of behaviours, and I absolutely would love to see this functionality come to Jira Cloud.

Hi,
I’m working on Jira Cloud and want to realize the following operations:

  • hide customfield according to the state of the work flow
  • hide customfield according to the value of another customfield
  • make customfield readonly, according to Workflow State

Hi,

We are planning to migrate from the Jira server to the Jira cloud in the near future.
We have a lot of scripts that we implemented via the Behavior feature and we don’t know what we gonna do with all those scripts after migrating to the Cloud.
Please step forward with enabaling Behaviours in the Cloud, as it seems to be a must-to-have feature for us.

Any update on the Ticket.

Hey everyone, the good news is Behaviours will be coming to cloud. The bad news is we don’t know exactly when. Our best estimate is later this year/early next year.
We’re currently working with Atlassian who are opening up the Cloud APIs specifically for Behaviours on ScriptRunner. Once this is in alpha/beta, we can start building Behaviours for Cloud.
We really appreciate these comments as it’s so helpful for planning and discussing with Atlassian. Thanks to all for contributing.
We’ll keep you up to date.
Best,
Mo

Hi,
We are in the process of migrating jira server to the Cloud. We would like to be able to automate Jira issue creation with a prefill/preformated template for the Description field for the user to follow. I believe, this could be done in the Jira server through behavior and would like to have the same in the JIRA Cloud.

Dear POs,

i would appreciate using the “create constrained issue” feature in the cloud, as it could be used on server versions.
https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/latest/features/script-fragments/built-in-fragments/create-constrained-issue

As option in the project picker, it would be great to have the option “same project as original issue”. Also it would help to copy some fields, like the summary. Important would also be the link of the two issues, as you show in the example of server documentation.
