As a user, I want to use Enhanced Search JQL functions and keywords in the Jira search bar where I do all my other searches, so that I don’t need to click through the separate Apps page.
Being able to use the native Favorite, Sharing and Subscription functionalities would make the ES JQL Functions so much more powerful also. At the moment, being separated into the app interface comes with so many compromises and extra work, it is causing us to evaluate alternatives with superior workflows and functionality.
Thanks for the feedback @Jason.cole ! This is something we’re planning on doing next year and we hope to be back with more news. It’s also top of mind for us as it also benefits many other requests and features raised (e.g. improved background syncing; better filter management such as being able to search for filters or change owners)
Good morning @Gli Hoping to hear some good news and / or progress on this front?
I’m subscribed to the Status Page updates for Adaptavist, and it seems like there might be a renewed interest on the Scriptrunner team in shifting away from the current sandbox arrangement? Between the seemingly unplanned Behaviors incremental releases, and what I assume are issues with Atlassian rate-limiting related to using the inefficient v1 APIs, as a customer and advocate of the expanded functionality your product provides, I would so very much appreciate the embrace of the v2 API increased efficiency and expected performance improvements for both Scriptrunner infra and customer experience.
Happy to expand with specifics from recent support cases that included Atlassian, Tempo and Adaptavist attempting to work together to triage and resolve serious customer issues.
Hi @Jason.cole
The team has begun working on moving our JQL functions to the native Jira search bar. We’re still in the early stages but progress is being made.
Thank you for your patience.
@Reece Smith that is excellent news, is it a correct assumption that this would negate the need to update to the v2 REST APIs in the Scriptrunner Enhanced app? I have been working with Atlassian to track down some performance and stability issues, and I shared these endpoints with both Adaptabist and Tempo as part of that 3 way discussion. Atlassian has made these available to 3rd parties for Retrieving User Favorites, etc.
Also, I’m ready to help out as needed from the outside and would really appreciate any sort of expectations for delivery timing or at least targets?
