Behaviours does not work from child panel#117

Behaviors is available to be used on the issue creation page, however, there is a limitation that Behaviors is not available/work when that creation page is executed from the children panel instead of directly clicking on the Create button from the main menu.
For clarification. Steps to reproduce it:

Set a mandatory field for stories ( not only the summary )

• Create an Epic
• Click on the button “Add a Child Issue” for creating a story.
• Add a summary and click on the create button

Following the previous steps the create screen will be shown but behaviorus wont work.

Hi @Anveres , you’re correct, Behaviours is not supported when creating an issue from the Epic issue screen, it’s only supported when creating from the main blue Create button. On the Cloud, on the Epic screen (and in the backlog) you can only add a new issue inline and in that case it cannot use Behaviours. If there was an option to see a dialog (which is an option you see on-prem, when you attempt to add an issue inline from the backlog) this could work, but that’s no available in Jira currently.

As I mentioned you can bring up the create screen if you have an other required field other then summary
